Terms & Conditions

Everything on this page applies to Bloom & Verse, the flower studio at Level 6, 341 George Street in Sydney, and to every order, enquiry and newsletter sign-up that reaches us. If any wording here is unclear, ring the studio on the number at the bottom of this page and a florist will walk you through it in plain English.

These terms apply to every order

By placing an order with Bloom & Verse, whether through our website, over the phone or in person at the studio, you agree to the terms set out on this page. Please read them before you confirm a purchase. If there is something here you are not comfortable with, call us on +61 2 9137 4826 and we will talk it through before you commit.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in them is intended to exclude any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Orders, pricing and payment

All prices on our website are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST. The price confirmed in your order email is the price you pay. We reserve the right to correct an obvious pricing error before an order is accepted, and if we do, we will contact you first and give you the option to cancel at no cost.

  • Full payment is taken at the time of order for same-day and next-day bouquets.
  • Wedding bookings require a deposit of thirty per cent to hold the date, with the balance due fourteen days before the event.
  • We accept card payments, bank transfer and, for corporate accounts, invoice on fourteen-day terms.

Delivery windows and what counts as delivered

We deliver by hand inside our core suburbs and by courier where the route falls outside our own drivers. A same-day order placed before 1pm will normally arrive that afternoon; we send a text once it is on the van.

If nobody is home we will attempt the address twice. After the second attempt we will leave the bouquet with a neighbour or in a shaded, safe position if one exists, and we will photograph where it landed and send that photo to both you and the recipient. Once we have done that, the order is treated as delivered and no refund is available for non-receipt.

Substitutions and seasonal availability

Every bouquet is hand-tied using what is genuinely at its best that week. Because flowers are a living product, the exact stems in your arrangement may differ from the photograph on the website or from a previous order.

  • We will always keep the agreed colour palette and the overall size of the arrangement.
  • If a specific bloom you requested is not available, we will substitute it with something of equal or greater value.
  • Any substitution is photographed and sent to you before dispatch so you know exactly what is going out.

Cancellations and changes

You can cancel a same-day bouquet free of charge up until 10am on the morning of delivery. After that point, the flowers have usually already been conditioned and arranged, and a cancellation fee of fifty per cent applies. Wedding deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to another date within twelve months, provided you give us at least thirty days' notice before the original date.

If you need to change a delivery address, call the studio rather than emailing. If the van has not yet left, we can usually redirect at no cost.

Liability and our responsibility to you

We are responsible for the flowers arriving in the condition we described. If a bouquet arrives damaged, wilted or clearly not what you ordered, contact us within twenty-four hours with a photograph and we will replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer. That is the limit of our liability for a single bouquet order.

For wedding work our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us for the event, except where the law does not allow such a cap. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as road closures, extreme weather or a venue refusing access at the agreed install time.

Need something clarified?

Send a note to the studio and we will answer the specific point you raised rather than pointing you back at this page.
